2 dead,several injured as explosion rocks fireworks storage facility in central Israel

Two Arab workers from Qalanswa were killed, and 6-7 others were injured, including one in serious condition , as result of explosion at a fireworks storage facility in community of Porat in central Israel on Tuesday. Among the injured also a 2-month-old infant and a 12-year-old boy. Fire and Rescue services were called to the scene to search for people possibly trapped and also provided medical attention to the wounded. Two bodies has been found and crews are continuing to search the area. Thick, black smoke could be seen wafting into the sky from a distance following the initial explosion and several secondary explosions occurred intermittently. Fire and Rescue crews are working to prevent damage to nearby homes, but residents of surrounding streets have been evacuated from their homes as a precaution.
